Precious Paper by Shay

My Story

Precious Paper by Shay started with something very simple—a love for creating.

What began as a hobby and a little creative escape for me slowly grew into something I never expected. 20 years ago, I started by making handmade cards, simply because I loved the process of taking paper, colors, and different details and turning them into something special.

As time went on, my creativity grew right along with my collection of paper! I began experimenting with layers, textures, and dimension, and eventually found my way to creating 3D handmade shadow box art.

Before I knew it, my hobby had turned into Precious Paper by Shay.

One of my favorite things about creating is knowing that something I made with my own hands may become part of someone’s home, brighten a special space, or be given as a meaningful gift. No two pieces feel exactly the same, and that handmade quality is something I truly treasure.

This little business has grown from many hours of creating, experimenting, learning, and probably more pieces of paper than I’d ever care to count! But most importantly, it has grown from something I genuinely love.

When you choose a piece from Precious Paper by Shay, you’re supporting more than a small business. You’re supporting a dream that started at my craft table with a few sheets of paper and an idea.

And for that, I am truly grateful.

Thank you for being a part of my story.
